câbleami - Recycled Tweed Hat/ Cap

Originating in Scotland around the 18th century, wool tweed was originally used as a practical and reliable material for rural workers who worked in unsavoury weather conditions. Eventually, the versatility in tweed’s weaving process allowed families to develop their own patterns, leading to an aristocratic affinity for the fabric that has since elevated its perception to where it is now.

For this fall season, câbleami looks to tweed textures as an inspiration point, and introduces two distinct everyday styles using this notable fabric, a bucket hat and cap.

Both styles are constructed from a unique seasonal blended tweed that utilizes recycled fibres for an eco-friendly touch that also lend to added durability and softness. Both styles are familiar and classic, but carry a small utilitarian touch that is signature of câbleami and helps set them apart. For the bucket hat, a small cordlock adjuster is implemented on the external band, adding an intrepid detail that contrasts elegantly with the sophisticated fabric. For the cap, a small elastic is stitched and encased at the back of the piece, allowing for a snug, but not tight fit, as well as metal eyelets that exude a stronger and more confident resilience in the overall look.
